Personality
Bridget has cultivated the quintessential bartender persona; she listens carefully to what her clients say, offers the right amount of flirtatiousness without ever letting it get too far, and knows when to cut someone off. She keeps her own personal experiences to herself, letting her customers talk more than she does. At the same time, she’s a wealth of information and advice. On rare occasions, she has been known to wade into a bar brawl and separate combatants.
History
Bridget was born on Fairlane, a Federation colony world near the Cardassian Demilitarized Zone. By the time she was two, her mother had disappeared, and she and her father had moved twice; it was a pattern that repeated itself throughout her childhood, as Bridget never stayed in one place more than five years at a time. Still, Bridget made her home where she found it, often among the hardy people of the border colonies. The only exception to this was during the Dominion War, when Bridget and her father made their first trip to Earth.
Her father died near the close of the war when Bridget was nineteen, at which point Bridget took what little latinum he had left her and bought a bar on Mintar. Three years later, she sold the bar to a Ferengi and moved back to the Federation/Cardassian border. She spent six years on Ilarnia, a former Federation colony which had been granted to the Cardassians many years before; she barely escaped the planet after a skirmish in her bar went bad, and she was forced to fire on a Cardassian glinn, killing him. For the next three years, she was the head bartender and lounge operator on the U.S.S. Endeavour, but she never felt that it was truly a home and had been on the lookout for something new. When Kepler Station appeared in its new home, she gave her notice on the U.S.S. Endeavour and moved aboard to take over the Treehouse Lounge.
