Personality

It is generally relatively easy to tell what Bruiser is thinking. He doesn't mince words. His ambitions in life are to protect that which he is paid to protect. As a bonus, he'll also protect his fellow crew members.

History

Bruiser was born and raised on a nondescript freighter somewhere between Vulcan and Mars. It was an ordinary day, and the only one grateful of the birth was his mother, who at 5-foot-nothing delivered a 12 pound 3 ounce boy... naturally. His childhood was spent much like that of any other youthful, obstinate boy: teasing the two girls that shared his freighter home and getting into places the crew did not find appropriate nor safe. He was as adventurous as the confines allowed him to be.

In the way of male role models, he had several to choose from, but none admitted to being his father. Initially, the ship's engineer was the man to emulate. Bruiser spent many hours, days, and months learning and emulating Darryl Jupin until one day his life ended somewhat expectantly. From then, Bruiser started to follow the Doctor around, and so it continued until his teenaged years when no one could tell him what to do.

At sixteen years of age, Bruiser was kicked off the freighter due to his attitude and over the next several years, he ambled between jobs, earning enough money to keep himself housed and fed. When he discovered the prostitution industry, Bruiser quickly found himself the pimp of several unattractive young ladies; yet the money was better than food service. His career came to an untimely end five years later when he was arrested.

While in jail, Bruiser focused on his physical form due to a lack of interesting reading materials. When he was released, the mass of his muscle structure was unlike anything he had seen before. He was hired as a bouncer at a back-water tavern. He met Captain Andre Stormgald at this point in time. Andre was looking for a bit of extra muscle to help out on his transport ship, and Bruiser had muscle in excess.

Since that time, Bruiser has gone from being a loyal member of the Dalliance crew to Captain of the Dacoit.

Additional Information

ITA Dacoit

Dacoit
The crew's latest, and current, vessel is an Orion freighter that was recently procured by Schass through his Uncle. The agreement saw a shift in the command structure, with Bruiser being named Captain, thanks to Shivani who agreed to sweeten the deal.

Prior to this, in an attempt to make amends for what he saw as their mistreatment at the hands of Starfleet, Captain Bakyr arranged for the Dacoit to perform an important delivery run of newly discovered satellite technology from (2433614) 2386 KA to a research team on Deep Space Three.

Although the name comes from an Orion word, Dacoit is also an Indian word for a member of a gang, or organized criminals, who commit violent robberies.

SS Dalliance

Dalliance
Originally purchased and commanded by Andre Stormgald, ownership of the vessel was passed into the hands of the crew upon his death. They continued to operate Dalliance in the Round Table, an area of space in the Delta Quadrant, by way of a make-shift committee until late into 2386.

At that time a group of Bajoran terrorists, using connections they had to Doctor Rasmussen, crashed the vessel into Kepler Station to gain entry and steal vital Starfleet intelligence. This action resulted in both the total destruction of the Dalliance and Module C, which was torn from the station, and resulted in at least eight deaths including Jozef himself.

Whether or not Jozef had a bigger part to play in this attack remains unknown to this day however his crew mates were eventually cleared of any wrong doing.
