Despite the signs of a receding hairline, Robbie maintains that it is that way to prevent anything detracting from his 'stunningly' blue eyes. While he is not the muscular type, he is fit and well built physically. The wrinkles that accentuate his face indicate a lot of smiling and laughter in his life.
Personality
Spontaneous is the best word to describe Robbie. His idea of stability in life is knowing what his favorite drink is. Other than that his life has been, for a long time, a life of spontaneous decisions to change direction. He always has a smile and a quip at the ready, and sees the bright side of every aspect of life. His high level of intellignce, and ease by which he becomes bored have driven him all over the galaxy in search of the next adventure. There is a certain amount of arrogant childishness about his behavior. In one sentence:
Robbie Dale is an uber talented, intelligent, but exceptionally indecisive and free wheeling larrikin.
History
Robbie was a child prodigy. His work in holographic technology was ground breaking when he was still a preteen. After two years of boredom in an advanced class at High School he was fast tracked to university. In university he changed his degree a total of 10 times, and his universities 4 times.
He studied in the fields of Holographic Sciences, Medicine (but couldn't stand the blood), Psychology, Transwarp Field Dynamics, Experimental Temporal Physics, Biology, Literature, Journalism, Philosophy, and Vetenary Medicine. He never graduated.
Instead, he decided that degrees were not important and he just wanted to enjoy life and have adventures. His family of course were furious, but he could care less. The most important thing to him was to be out in the stars experiencing the galaxy.
Over the years Robbie has bounced from job to job, and from station to station. He has never gotten into business anywhere as it would tie him down for too long. He heard recently that the Federation was sending some entertainers to Kepler Station in the Delta Quadrant. The comedian had become sick a few days before his departure and Robbie jumped on the opportunity to go to the very forefront of Federation exploration.
They were all scheduled to leave on the Discovery, but were held up because Robbie was not there on time. (There were rumors that he was basejumping.) Instead of catching a ride on the Discovery, Robbie and his fellow entertainers hitched a ride on a Vulcan science vessel. His humour was not appreciated. He arrives at Kepler station feeling awfully unprepared for his role, and with few friends amongst the other entertainers who have been sent by the Federation.
