Runabout and Shuttlecraft Service History

There have been a number of Runabouts and Shuttlecraft assigned to Kepler Station over the years, below is a list of the times a specific vessel was mentioned and the tasks it was assigned.

Clara Zetkin

While performing a routine survey of the Xami Nebula Cluster the team lead by Lieutenant JG Noah Slater discovers a dimensional rift. Upon closer inspection the make contact with a similar team from a reality where Starfleet was disbanded over twenty years ago (KS17: Rosen To The Occasion).

Following the asteroid collision, Ensign Andrew Jefferson and Petty Officer Charlotte Wilson search for survivors amongst the rubble of the Medical module when they find an escape pod containing Lieutenant Samantha Grayson. As they prepare to return to Kepler Station they receive orders to redirect so Doctor Grayson can assist civilian doctor Mota Ekira in emergency surgery on Captain Nikolas G. Bakyr (KS19: Boy Who Cried Wolf).

Deployed with the U.S.S. Karl Benz to retrieve the U.S.S. Heinrich Mann, which was under the control of the escaped prisoner Jas Colcor (KS23: Take It or Leavitt).

Heinrich Mann

Lieutenant JG Riley Keegan and her team, Ensign Lestru Shule and Petty Officers Derek Sullivan and Li Zhōu are ferried to Kepler Station to begin their new assignment (KS22: Lewis' Bond).

In accordance with the agreement made during hostage negotiations with the escaped Menkali prisoners, Captain Nikolas G. Bakyr turned over control of the Heinrich Mann to Jas Colcor and his fellow escapees. The captain's original intention had been to render the vessel inert with the station's Teslacite Carronades, but when the prototype weapons failed it seemed like they would escape scot-free. Fortunately the Chief Engineer of the U.S.S. Tokyo, Lieutenant Fernando Smith, had subsequently taken out his personal frustrations on the prisoners, who had savagely attacked Lieutenant JG Kesari Lor and left her for dead, by sabotaging the drive systems. When the prisoners attempted to jump to warp they discovered the vessel was unable to establish a stable warp field (KS23: Take It or Leavitt).

Karl Benz

An expedition to the Southeast Continent of the planet Oratt IX takes an unexpected turn when the pirate Mustava cripples the Karl Benz during a raid on the Oratti Priory (KS14: Curieosity Killed The Cat).

Petty Officer Vilgi Morr personally oversaw the extensive repairs once the Karl Benz had been retrieved from the planet's surface and tractored back to Kepler Station (KS15: The Cabinet of Doctor Cuvier).

Deployed with the U.S.S. Clara Zetkin to retrieve the U.S.S. Heinrich Mann, which was under the control of the escaped prisoner Jas Colcor (KS23: Take It or Leavitt).

Kolbe

At some point during service the alignment of the forward thruster assembly had become an issue (KS22.1: Graduation Day).

Sigmund Jähn

The dire warning regarding the altered path of the asteroid field as it passes around the T-Class planet Rudellia, in Cardassian space, is issued by Petty Officer Alok Huak-Cal and the evacuation of Kepler Station begins (KS19: Boy Who Cried Wolf).

Cadet Rory Kiriakis recommends the Sigmund Jähn for a mission into Ferengi space (KS22.1: Graduation Day).

Sixty-Nine

Although not an officially recognised testing method, Ensign Andrew Jefferson and Cadet Rory Kiriakis ran the cockpit through several durability tests (KS20: Piazzi's Penance).

Sommerfeld

Following the discovery of his involvement in a conspiracy to remove Lieutenant Maya Takagi from active duty, Petty Officer Patrick McCully endeavoured to escape with the Betazoid as his hostage. His plan was foiled, resulting in both his death and severe damage to the vessel (KS21: The Scopes of Justice or Fine Jung Cannibal).

von Braun

Deployed with the Wegener to intercept the Sommerfeld in the eventuality that Petty Officer Patrick McCully was able to escape capture by Security (KS21: The Scopes of Justice or Fine Jung Cannibal).
