Violet is of Asian and European decent and has certain features reminiscent of both. Health and fitness wise she is in good shape from keeping up a regular sport schedule and active training regime. She also has a small tattoo somewhere on her body but is protective of the secret to its location. After the difficult time Violet has had recently she tried to find a small measure of control by cutting her hair much shorter.

Personality

Violet is fun loving and friendly but is quick to let someone know when they’re on her bad side. She is highly active and likes to get in a game of volleyball as often as possible. Because of her friendly demeanor Violet never seems to have much trouble meeting people and making new friends. Her weird sense of humour may prove difficult for some people to get used to though.

History

Quite possibly the stereotypical child of Starfleet; her mother left when she was barely one year-old, leaving a heart broken Harrison to raise her while juggling a career in Starfleet. Because of this she grew up spending more time on Starbases and starships than on Earth. The only time Violet actually spent on the distant mud ball she was born on was while staying with her Aunty Jade and Uncle Jack in Brooklyn, either on solo trips during school breaks or when Harry was on leave. Those times were a wonderful experience for the only child as it was the type of family life her father couldn’t offer, despite how hard he worked to keep her happy and healthy.

On her tenth birthday, while Harrison was stationed on Starbase 24, he decided his daughter needed more company than the occasional children visiting from docked vessels and brought her a Degosan Twin-tailed Gecko; similar to the Earth gecko aside from the purplish-blue scales and articulated tails for swinging through the dense native forests of Degosa. While for some young girls a lizard might seem like an odd gift, Violet instantly fell in love with the small creature which she named Indigo due to its colour and the play on words with her own name.

Academically Violet applied herself well to most subjects but lacked the direction needed to really excel. In her sporting endeavours though she didn’t suffer from that issue; becoming involved in various shipboard holodeck teams and, whenever her father served on Starbases, planet wide competitions. Volleyball is her primary passion but Violet is keen to try anything.

As she got older, life on board Starfleet vessels started to wear thin. Barely two years ago things between Harrison and Violet were so tough that the solo father decided his best option was to send Violet to live with her Aunty and Uncle for at least a semester in the hopes she would improve by being away from some of the bad influences. While she didn’t think she was half as bad as other teenagers on the ship, Harrison wasn’t happy about the boy she was dating. The son of a diplomat, he was working his way up the delinquent career path at full impulse and taking Violet along for the ride. With little choice in the matter, Violet took the first available transport back to Earth and attended school with her cousin JJ. That did the trick and Violet settled down somewhat, even offering to get a job in the lounge of her father’s next posting to keep from falling into old habits.

Unfortunately for Harrison SB-909 wasn't exactly the safe place he wanted for his daughter. Shortly after he left on the USS Endeavour, and his daughter began working at the Treehouse Lounge, Kepler Station was involved in an incident that caused it to be mysteriously relocate from the Delta Quadrant to the Beta Quadrant. Seperated from her father by almost 200 Light-years was hardly what Violet had signed up for but thanks to the Executive Officer, Lt. Commander Isis Rae, who had been keeping an eye on the teenager, Violet decided to remain onboard and await the return of her father. She moved from her single quarters to the XO's within the Arboretum, along with her best friend Indigo, and has since developed a strong bond with the older woman much like that of a mother and daughter. Although she assures Isis it's more of an older sister type of thing to avoid implying the Trill is old. The fact that both of them were abandoned by their mothers has certainly helped to strengthen that bond to a point where Violet considers Isis part of her family.

The decision to stay might have turned out to be a mistake when Kepler was boarded by a group of Bajoran militants led by a man known only as Jedit. Violet was taken prisoner when the Bajorans came in search of the XO and was beaten viciously by the leader of the militant group in order to make Commodore Blake cooperate. Although she doesn't think of herself as being brave, especially when comparing herself to Isis, she did manage to stand up to Jedit for a while. Allowing the crew of Kepler to discover what was happening and plan a counter attack. However they were unable to do so before Blake finally agreed to undo the command lockout in order to save Violet from being spaced by the Bajoran terrorist. Since then the young woman has been acting quite differently to her normal self. As well as being jumpy around some people Violet has been a lot more withdrawn and timid in general than she was before.
